Give Needed Items

Our current needs list (made by homeless people):

  • P-38 military can openers (available at Army-Navy store on Lawndale, 5-pack costs about $3-$4)
  • adult-sized, cold weather sleeping bags
  • thermal tops and bottoms (new only, please; mostly mens XL or larger)
  • mens heavy winter gloves and warm hats or caps (new only, please)
  • toilet paper
  • flashlights and batteries
  • mens' thick, warm socks (new only, please)
  • hand sanitizer in bottles or wipes
  • rain ponchos (plastic, disposable is good)
  • chapstick

(We do not need food or hygiene items at this time. Stay tuned. Thanks!)

Please drop off donations in the StreetWatch collection box in the lobby at Greensboro Police Department Watch Operations, 2602 S. Elm-Eugene Street. If you're donating a large quantity of items, please contact us by email at outreach@streetwatchgreensboro.com or contact us via Facebook and we'll arrange to get those items directly from you.

Provide Financial Support

Financial contributions (and WalMart gift cards) given to StreetWatch are used to buy items we need that haven't been donated; to purchase over-the-counter or prescription medications, as needed, for homeless people; to buy food in bulk, when needed; to buy shoes, boots and/or clothing items that need to be fitted specifically to the person we're assisting; etc.

StreetWatch receives donations via our fiscal sponsors, which are both tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations. You may mail a check (or WalMart gift cards!) to either of the organizations listed below. Please make the check out to either Greensboro Christian Church or MOVE (we cannot cash checks made out to StreetWatch) and write "StreetWatch" in the memo line of your check!
